Take Action

The LSWC is governed by a Board of Directors, a diverse group of individuals representing various industrial sectors, communities, and interests. To become a member of the board, or to vote at our AGM you must first become a member of the LSWC. As a member you are not automatically a part of the Board, but are able to attend meetings and vote at our Annual General Meetings.

To become a member of the Lesser Slave Watershed Council complete our membership form and send it by either snail-mail or email. Membership is open to individuals and organizations who live, work, or engage in recreational activities in the Lesser Slave Watershed, whose interests and goals align with the LSWC.

As a member you get:  For each new member we get:
  • One vote at the AGM and other member meetings
  • Quarterly newsletters
  • Regular updates regarding NSWA activities
  • Opportunities to:
    • become an elected member of the Board of Directors
    • serve on additional working groups and committees
    •  share ideas and concerns
    • exchange information
    • contribute to various projects and initiatives
  • An expanded awareness of your issues and concerns and/or those of your industry/group/organization
  • New topics for member discussion and education
  • New ideas for:
    • our initiatives in watershed management
    • future projects
    • strategy & policy direction

Memberships are $5.00 and are renewable annually, and are payable to the LSWC by cash or cheque. You can also pay online by using our "donate" page and making a $5 donation. 

Cheques should be made out to the Lesser Slave Watershed Council, and along with forms should be mailed to:

Thank you for becoming a member of the Lesser Slave Watershed Council (LSWC). By filling out this membership form you agree to the values and mission of the LSWC, and consent to receiving our newsletters and other emails about the work of our organization. You will have the option to opt out of electronic newsletters. Your membership is valid from one year (April 1 to March 31) and must be renewed before the AGM. 

LSWC Annual General Meeting 

Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic and restrictions on gatherings, the LSWC Board of directors has decided to postpone our 2020 Annual General Meeting until September (date to be determined) in hopes that we can meet in person then.
