My name is Jimmy Murphy and I am a law student at the University of Calgary. I am currently enrolled in a class on Water Law and one of our final assignments is to write to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to provide recommendations regarding the federal government’s proposed changes to the Fisheries Act.


Given the excellent work being performed by WPACs in Alberta, one of my recommendations will be to ensure that advisory councils are established throughout Canada to ensure effective and efficient management of water resources nationally.


Part of my analysis involves the current funding of the WPACs in Alberta and I am wondering if it would be possible to obtain a copy of your WPACs most recent income statement. My apologies if it is posted on the website somewhere, I wasn’t able to find it.
