Take Action

The LSWC is  an Alberta non profit Society governed by a Board of Directors, a diverse group of individuals representing the provincial, Indigenous and local governments, industry, recreational users, partner NGO's and watershed residents. The Society is governed by Society By Laws, and the Board of Directors is governed by Board Governance Policies.

Society members can attend and vote at our Annual General Meeting or any Special Meetings of the membership. Membership is open to individuals and organizations who live, work, or engage in recreational activities in the Lesser Slave Watershed, whose interests and goals align with the LSWC. To become a member of the Lesser Slave Watershed Council Society complete a membership form and return it to the LSWC.  

 

As a member you get:  For each new member we get:
  • One vote at the AGM and other member meetings
  • Quarterly newsletters
  • Regular updates regarding LSWC activities
  • Opportunities to:
    • become an elected member of the Board of Directors
    • serve on additional working groups and committees
    • share ideas and concerns
    • exchange information
  • An expanded awareness of your issues and concerns and/or those of your industry/group/organization
  • New topics for member discussion and education
  • New ideas for:
    • our initiatives in watershed management
    • future projects
    • strategy & policy direction
